USE ONLY 18650 batteries min 5A, with a BUTTON TOP and a max. length of 67 mm. A typical capacity of 3600-4000 mAh will be suitable.

DO NOT MOUNT THE WHEEL INCORRECTLY (here shown on a tire with rim-protection edge):

DO NOT USE WITHOUT BATTERIES, as the batteries acts a a load during rotation of the wheel, rotation without batteries may damage the GRAVIBAL wheel balancer.

DO NOT USE HIGH CAPACITY BATTERIES as they can not give the high current needed.

DO NOT MODIFY THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT, as the battery compartment acts as a reverse protection security. Any changes to the battery compartment may result in loss of warranty.

DO NOT CARRY WITHOUT THE SAFETY SCREW MOUNTED.

DO NOT DROP the GRAVIBAL wheel balancers. While transportable, the products are not a mobile phone designed to handle drops. Warranty will not cover drops. The moving parts may be affected and damaged due to drops, please carry with care.

DO NOT DROP THE WHEEL on the carry wheels, this may damage the GRAVIBAL. Even the GRAVIBAL is constructed to handle 50 kg. wheels, it is not designed to take the drop weight of a wheel, and this may damage the sensitive measurement circuits.

Tips:

MOUNT THE RIGHT and LEFT carry wheels perpendicular to the wheel rim edge in 2 ways. Align the mark on the carry wheels with edge of the crossbar and 1. by visual inspection through the rim or 2. by lifting the wheel slightly at the carry wheel and loosen and adjust angle where the resistance is smallest.

Mount the float carry wheel according to above pictures by:

• Stand in front of machine
• Tilt the front of the wheel very slightly with one hand
• Move the front control in and out with the other hand while observing the contact between edges of the wheel and carry wheel
• Make the high edge of the carry wheel match the rim edge as this can be clearly observed, see above picture.
• Optional move the front control little further and feel the small bump from the float carry wheel cross the rim edge, move back as this is then too far.

The GRAVIBAL is delivered without batteries. Before ordering batteries, make sure the correct 18650 battery version is selected. Select wtih max length of 67 mm to fit the battery compartment. With or without safety circuit is possible.

If you ended up buying batteries without top, this can only be used, if a top is created for example with a soldered added top, as illustrated below:

With very heavy wheels the GRAVIBAL wheel balancers may not give results better than below 3-5 gram, however the forces from the heavy wheels will allow for a larger residual imbalance.

In case any parts becomes loose, try to carefully tighten the screws before contacting support.
